Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Valuable features include tools like IQ Bot and the ability to extract handwritten documents with 93-95 per cent accuracy.""I like that compared to other tools, HyperScience works best with handwritten documents.""Has algorithms that can detect a document template even if the image has a lot of distortions.""We have seen pretty good accuracy.""What I liked more about HyperScience was the quality of the OCR it is a lot better compared to Google.""One of the most valuable features of HyperScience is the user-training module. Whenever the extraction takes place, based on the way we have trained HyperScience, it would give us some success status or a certain confidence level. If the solution has processed something that it determined was not extracted correctly it will queue those items for manual review.""It provides the best accuracy for handwritten forms, which is a struggle in the industry. You can take processes with a lot of manual work and streamline them through this tool."

"It is very simple and easy to learn compared to any other RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism.""The drag and drop functionality is quite good.""Provides valuable tools working in integration with RPA tools.""The best part of Kofax is that they have a whole concept. It's one product, but also has extra elements that can be integrated.""You can automate browsing tasks without needing a server connection. The platform provides its browser, allowing you to run anything inside it.""Kofax handles UIs via the browser well. If it's not possible, they have other features like modeling screen scrapes, etc.""It is stable and scalable.""Kofax RPA's best feature is its high success percentage in picking up information from documents, especially where the DPI is really low."

Cons
"The solution lacks support for a greater range of languages.""No solution is perfect and there are several different scenarios that could be improved in HyperScience. One area is where there are multiple tables in the same form I have seen HyperScience struggle. There is some issue with supporting the extraction from multiple tables involved on the same form. If this could improve, it would be a big benefit.""HyperScience could improve the unstructured data extraction feature.""They could work on the price and make it a bit more reasonable.""The product's usability could be better. The first pain point is that we're getting the output in a different format, and we were expecting a different timetable. The second point is that if you want better results, HyperScience says you have to configure a minimal PDF or a maximum of 400 PDFs. If you want results with 400 PDFs for what's written by these doctors, then you also configure the maximum of 400 templates for that. So, it's essentially a lack of support from HyperScience. In the next release, it would be better if failure scenarios were reduced. It would also help if they offered different formats, inputs or injections, and added different scenarios.""Extracting tables from certain documents could be improved.""HyperScience has less capability while working on unstructured forms. Unstructured forms are those where there is no standard structure and the information can be anywhere on the form. They need to develop this capability."

More HyperScience Cons →

"Automation with the latest websites is not effective. The support of newer websites developed using new technologies would improve this solution.""The product should improve desktop automation, which is hard to configure. It needs to have custom connectors. It is the only advantage that Microsoft Power Platform has over Kofax RPA. It has more than 800 custom connectors.""Its documentation is not widely available on the web. They should work on the availability of its documentation. In Automation Anywhere, there is a feature called Discovery Bot that automatically records the process steps and suggests a possible bot. I am not sure if such a feature is available in Kofax. If it is not available, it will be very good to have this feature. ""Kofax RPA needs to improve integration with SAP and Microsoft. The professional services offered by the tool's team is below par. Its licensing needs to be more modular.""Kofax RPA's UI could be more user-friendly.""The solution needs to be scalable.""The process discovery could be a bit better.""We are on version 10.6, and the current version seems to be 11. Kofax is cycling the capabilities of the product very quickly. One of the difficulties has been to actually keep up with the capabilities as they've evolved. On the one hand, it is good that the product is getting better, but on the other hand, it is difficult to implement the best way with a product that is evolving constantly."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "I think HyperScience is cheaper when compared to other tools. They also have a lifetime licensing option."
  • "I don't have any idea about the licensing costs, but I know that there was a per-page charge. They had different models of pricing. One of them was based on the minimum number of pages, and we had a fixed price. So, the price model depends on the volume that is coming through HyperScience."
  • More HyperScience Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The normal price for an on-premises license is €50,000. That's the price for one robot license. You can have more than one robot license but only one can be run at any one time. I believe the cost of adding a second robot is around €14,000."
  • "Price is not a problem, because they are a competitor and we have a special rate."
  • "I don't have complete insight at this point in time, but I would guess that Kofax is a lot less expensive than Automation Anywhere. I would expect its license to be on a yearly basis."
  • "Its pricing is reasonable given the product capabilities. Kofax has a wide range of products, and it can sometimes be confusing to understand which capabilities come with which product set. One of the key facets that we've been looking into recently is cognitive document recognition that was a core pile of some of their other technologies such as Kofax transformation modules (KTM)."
  • "Kofax's prices are pretty reasonable."
  • "There is a standard license needed to use Kofax RPA and the price is reasonable."
  • "Kofax RPA is moderately priced but expensive in comparison to UiPath and Power Automate."
  • "I give the price of the solution a six out of ten."

    Overview

HyperScience is a cloud-based input-to-output platform that automates document-based workflows and extracts data for analysis from both physical and digital documents.

The HyperScience platform simply integrates with your current business systems thanks to an open API, an intuitive UI, and pre-trained models, resulting in a totally automated digital workflow.

The classic scanning paradigm has been reimagined by HyperScience; it has replaced the need for human verification with intelligent technology that learns as it goes. The solution automates previously manual operations using a simple model-based solution or from the ground up, saving time and resources that can be redirected to more strategic efforts. The platform has a minimum accuracy of 75% when it is first installed, but it can exceed 99% accuracy in a matter of weeks.

With out-of-the-box and customizable tasks, workflows, and connectors, the solution automatically connects into your document workflows. HyperScience, which is powered by industry-leading machine learning, makes it simple to get from input to actionable data.

    HyperScience Benefits

There are many benefits to implementing HyperScience. Some of the biggest advantages the solution offers include:

    • Automation: With automation, users can save 89% of the time they would have spent doing things the old way. Businesses are able to save money in this way.
    • Risk mitigation: The number of human errors can decrease by 67%. Users can benefit from straight-through processing at 94% with 99% data accuracy.

    • Human supervision: HyperScience equips humans with a streamlined task queue and easy-to-use interface designed to empower your teams, not slow them down.

    Reviews from Real Users

HyperScience stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its robust user-training module and its accuracy with handwritten documents. PeerSpot users take note of the advantages of these features in their reviews:

One PeerSpot reviewer, a Lead Analyst at a financial services firm, writes, “One of the most valuable features of HyperScience is the user-training module. Whenever the extraction takes place, based on the way we have trained HyperScience, it would give us some success status or a certain confidence level. If the solution has processed something that it determined was not extracted correctly it will queue those items for manual review.”

Yogesh S., OCR Developer at a tech vendor, notes of the solution, “I like that compared to other tools, HyperScience works best with handwritten documents.” He adds, “We're automating invoices and some handwritten filled-out documents. We can automate with accuracy, and even though we used HyperScience initially for selling purposes and as a comparison tool, we're now getting these results with HyperScience.”
