We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Fortinet has helped free up around 20 percent of our staff's time to help us out.""It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain.""Fortinet FortiEDR's firewalling, rule creation, monitoring, and inspection profiles are great.""It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up.""he solution is an anti-malware product that integrates well with other vendor products such as firewalls, SIEM, etc. It captures threat intelligence and gives you better visibility. The product also has sandboxing features.""Fortinet is very user-friendly for customers.""The console is easy to read. I also like the scanning part and the ability to move assets from one to the other.""The stability is very good."

"We had a quick deployment. The solution is easy to set up.""The most important thing for us as a customer is that we can spend more time in other places as it's simpler to have that overview. We have much more time for other tasks.""I like Vision One's observed attack techniques feature. It lets you see what an attacker is doing, how they have tried to exploit a machine, or how malicious code is operating. It helps us discover indicators of compromise so we can write better rules for detection.""We've found the pricing to be reasonable.""Scaling is not a problem at all.""I like the workbench. It is a view of all the alerts or problems in your estate. The visibility that it provides to engineers is very useful. It is one thing having lots of alerts. It is another thing to have something to correlate all your alerts into a workbench for you so that you can see what is going on.""Drilling down further, we can analyze how our users are utilizing their workstations, including the websites they visit.""The telemetric report is the most valuable feature."

More Trend Vision One Pros →

"It offers good scalability.""I use the solution to protect our infrastructure. The tool has special frames for banking. There is an additional secure filter for banking-related pages. It protects me from viruses, malware, and attacks.""The only issue that we have today is with false positives. We have too many false positives with the solution.""The product is stable.""WithSecure includes an encrypted drive that stores a key for accessing the encrypted data.""It is a scalable solution."

Cons
"Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation.""The solution is not stable.""Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later.""I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers.""We'd like to see more one-to-one product presentations for the distribution channels.""I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution.""The dashboard isn't easy to access and manage.""The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"The information captured by Trend Vision One needs to be more detailed.""While the continuous addition of features is commendable, the sheer volume of changes makes it difficult to stay abreast of the latest developments.""The area for improvement is mobile security. We have just finished a proof of concept for Zero Trust Secure Access. We withdrew from this PoC because it does not have that many points for proxy across Europe. Our organization is across Europe... At this time, they are only located in Germany and the UK.""The solution could always be made to be more secure.""In new versions I would like to see better implementation of the reporting features, especially in regards to EDR visibility.""The centralized dashboard has room for improvement.""They are planning on adding the Security Playbooks as a complete feature. In the preview mode, it is available; however, it is not released.""Also, XDR should improve its coverage of the latest IOCs. Their suspicious object management works, but the coverage should be improved. It will take one or two months to get those things covered. XDR will detect on a behavioral basis, but these databases will not get updated daily like some other solutions. If you're dealing with new ransomware or malware, it may take around a month before it's covered by Trend Micro."

More Trend Vision One Cons →

"The tool’s mobile version needs to be improved.""WithSecure Elements Endpoint Detection and Response is scalable. My company has 800-1000 customers.""The website rules are too complicated.""The monthly reporting feature of WithSecure can be improved.""The initial setup is very straightforward.""Its automated functionality could be better."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.
