We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Backups are quick and painless to set up.""This solution is easy to manage.""Cohesity has simplified backups and has cut our costs tremendously.""I like that Cohesity offers the chance to have data on-premises and on the cloud. All the data is automatically sent to the cloud.""The solution is stable.""By using their Helios Cloud service, you have all your clusters, no matter where they are located, in one web portal.""It offers an easy, quick backup and restore of files and VMs. Also, the "Google-like " search for files is awesome.""Cohesity customer service is the best that I have ever used. They are extremely fast in responding to cases, fixed all issues, and answered every question in a very timely manner."

Cons
"The product is still young and is continually improving. There have been a couple of buggy releases in the software that have caused us minor issues, so possibly some better QA before releasing would prove to be useful. We have also been inquiring about new app and functionality via the Marketplace that was teased months back but has yet to come to fruition.""I would like to see Cohesity have the ability to do a file level restore from a Windows server, which is storing data on dynamic disk.""In terms of the product itself, there have been a handful of patches that have had to be applied outside of the GUI via the command line. It's very straightforward and easy and in the same redundant fashion, but not quite as simple as one or two clicks. I'm hoping that will decrease going forward.""The support team sometimes takes a long time to resolve issues, although, in our experience, these have been specific things like SQL blobs.""We have had our share of minor bugs over the past two years and a few bigger ones.""Microsoft Exchange online mailbox backups would be fantastic.""I'd like to be able to pause a backup while it's running and have it resume when I tell it to resume.""The rack mounting instructions did not appear to be correct, but we were able to overcome it."

More Cohesity DataProtect Cons →

"Updating and configuration can sometimes be a little bit of a hassel, but once you know the product better it is easy to use.""The solution lacks instant recovery.""There isn't really anything I would like to improve. Maybe the solution could be more secure.""The stability of this solution needs to be improved.""Some customers have Oracle databases and Veeam does support back up of Oracle databases.""The predictability of the solution needs improvement. Sometimes, if it's doing something at the back end, it may go slow. Today, the backup completion took four hours, but sometimes it can do the backup in 30 minutes or an hour. With solutions like NetBackup, I can predict to a much higher degree of certainty how long something will take to complete.""I would like to see the ability for incremental backups and reverse backups.""Interface could possibly be improved."

  • "Cohesity came in at the best price."
  • "Cohesity came in at the best price. Setup was included and done in half a day."
