We performed a comparison between Cisco Secure Network Analytics and Fortinet FortiManager based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Zabbix, Datadog, Auvik and others in Network Monitoring Software."We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."
"The most valuable feature of Cisco Secure Network Analytics is the Threat Intelligence integration."
"The deployment was a breeze. It is a very innovative and robust platform that allows us to bi-directionally stitch together data elements from Netflow-enabled devices to provide a context for network utilization."
"This product alleviates the day-to-day headaches for us, in regards to metrics."
"I value the feature which enables me to detect devices talking to suspect IPs."
"The solution allowed us to not only get gain insight but also start collaborating with other tools."
"Using the Cognitive Analytics feature, we have complete visibility that we didn’t have before."
"There are already many functionalities, so I don't think there is anything to improve."
"The feature most valuable for us is to gain visibility of what is actually floating through, so we can stop it based on whether it's good or bad traffic."
"The solution is very stable."
"FortiManager's most valuable feature is central management."
"Stability is good within the product."
"It is stable."
"It would normally take us a handful of days to install one FortiGate instance on one site. But with this technology, zero-touch deployment, we need just one hour or maybe as little as 30 minutes to install one site. It is much more efficient."
"The capability of centralized management is valuable. We can configure all firewall boxes with the same configuration."
"The firewall configuration has more capabilities than the other firewall management systems that I have worked with."
"I like the rapid deployment feature. I also like that it's easy to troubleshoot. FortiManager is amazing because we can have a centralized policy. All our devices are integrated, and we can also engage in troubleshooting. We can use it for different deployments. One fantastic feature is the ability to create a version and deploy it immediately."
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."
"Cisco Stealthwatch needs more integration with device discovery. We have to do a lot of hard work to figure out what things are. Better service integration is required."
"The GUI could use some improvement. Being able to find features more easily would be a great improvement if it was simplified."
"It's not great as a standalone solution."
"I would like Cisco to make it easier for the administrators to use it."
"I would like to see a hybrid solution that can work without being connected directly to the internet for those destinations."
"Better integration between Cisco Secure Network Analytics and Cisco Secure Workload would be beneficial."
"Stealthwatch is still maturing in AI. It uses artificial intelligence for predictions, but AI still needs to mature. It is in a phase where you get 95% correct detection. As its AI engine learns more, it will become more accurate. This is applicable to all the devices that are using AI because they support both supervised and unsupervised machine learning. The accuracy in the case of supervised machine learning is dependent on the data you feed into the box. The accuracy in the case of unsupervised machine learning is dependent on the algorithm. The algorithm matures depending on retrospective learning, and this is how it is able to detect zero-day attacks."
"The configuration of the solution was quite complex."
"It would be better if it were easier to run a routing protocol. In the next release, I would like them to enhance some features in the GUI rather than CLI or OSP. For example, whenever a customer generates an ISP directly on the firewall, it's complicated to configure the routing protocol."
"The interface could be improved. It is split up into different areas, which makes it more difficult to navigate and get the right section of the correct file. The solution is quite expensive, so it would not be suitable for small to medium sized organizations."
"The solution has to be enhanced to manage new switches."
"The SD-WAN solution is difficult to manage on FortiManager because you need to share some configurations on the firewall side. Sometimes you lose all connectivity with the firewall, so it is challenging to apply the default configuration to the SD-WAN solution."
"Setting up FortiManager can be complex because it involves changes from other devices and a lot of configuration."
"The solution has some bugs."
"Performance issues should be improved. We have problems when we have more mobile connections than local devices. Most of us have two to three devices."
"The areas that need improvement are implemenation and support. In terms of implementation, it mainly needs clear documentation."
