Pros
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."

"The most valuable feature of Azure Network Watcher is using the gateways with the connections. The monitoring is useful for the logs and application insights into the data. The traffic filtering issues when it comes to deploying those applications are helpful.""The solution is stable.""I like the visibility.""The solution is good for monitoring device behavior.""It provides good visibility.""The most valuable feature of Azure Network Watcher is the cloud-native application firewall. It is helpful for securing databases.""We use the solution to monitor network services. It helps to capture any network issues.""The most valuable features I have found are typology, visualization, and capture."

"Through porting, we can see how the improvement is happening over a period of time. We can see the overall scenario from the last year, where were we were and where we currently stand.""The next big one is supportability. In a large enterprise, we have many types of technologies. The technology we previously had didn't even support authentication to a lot of those technologies.""We can manage everything with only a single console on the Tenable SecurityCenter. We can pull and define the policy. We can perform every task on the Tenable SecurityCenter.""The first of the valuable features is how easy it is to access all of the information that's gathered from the assessments... With a lot of other technologies, like Rapid7, if you're using Nexpose you effectively have to be a DBA to get some of the lower-level results from the scans. And Qualys wasn't very intuitive.""The scanning itself is really the core of the tool, and it's what we're most interested in."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"Azure Network Watcher could improve by having other built-in applications. For example, an application to log activities for in and outbound traffic.""Azure is good, however, the Fortinet GUI is more intuitive and I like it more than anything else.""The initial setup and deployment could be improved to be simplified.""I would like to see in the future if we can troubleshoot as a firewall because it is equipment as a network player and some diagnostics.""The initial setup and initial learning curve could be improved to be easier.""Lacks sufficient security features.""Azure Network Watcher needs to have better documentation and it needs to capture information accurately.""I still use Wireshark and Azure Network Watcher to get the required data. My team captures the traffic from Azure Network Watcher, downloads it, then imports that traffic into Wireshark to get more details on the number of hits and replies, for example. If you can do that on Azure Network Watcher and have Wireshark built-in, that would make Azure Network Watcher better. If Azure Network Watcher has that functionality where you won't need a third-party tool to get what you need, that would be helpful. I'm also expecting more from Azure Network Watcher. It's more complex than knowing how the IP flows from its source to the destination. The tool also needs more open-source features, such as having some built-in Wireshark that improves monitoring for customers. Sometimes, you encounter a VPN tunnel, network, or routing issue, but finding out more about the blockage is challenging. Is it one hundred percent an Azure issue? Is it a peer issue? You don't get complete information from Azure Network Watcher, so you must use other tools and depend on your strategies to resolve a specific issue. If more features could be added in the next release of Azure Network Watcher, specifically ones you can find on open-source tools, then that would be a plus point for the tool."

"When it comes to... dynamic application scanning, I think they are lagging behind the curve. They have a lackluster solution, to the point where I think they need to determine, as a company, whether or not that's a space they even want to play in.""In terms of what could be improved, some customers have a problem with SecurityCenter's ticket system. If I want them to assign one of the issues, they may want to assign someone to it or to assign it somewhere else and I may want to break up the ticket.""There are certain circumstances where they may have found a vulnerable service and they just removed the service completely from the device because nobody was using it. There's no way to go into SecurityCenter and mark it, to say, "This is no longer an issue. It doesn't exist anymore." Or, "The risk was accepted for one year, so let's not report it as 'high' until that one year period is done." The handling of operational flow around vulnerability management could be improved.""One area which is missing is cloud security because there are a lot of configurations. Rapid7 has a product called a DV cloud. I would like to have a similar kind of solution and feature."

  • "We did a three-year deal where the cost is amortized over the three years. The Elite Support was an additional cost to the standard licensing fees... If you use Security Center, most of the time it is on-premise, so you're going to have some sort of infrastructure to build out and there's going to be a cost associated with that."
  • "Pricing-wise, it's fine. It's not an expensive product. That's not an issue."
