We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The standout qualities of Automation Anywhere were the ease of automation and that it is an intuitive tool. After a simple walkthrough, a couple of hours or two, you would be able to hit the ground running.""We work on SAP as well as many other internal platforms, and this solution can very easily be moved between them.""One of the most valuable features is object cloning, the ability to get into websites and do things faster.""It is easy to code. While you have developers, somebody with a development or workflow mindset can logically build a bot in Automation Anywhere by understanding how to put a process in a workflow. If you have that, then you can logically build a bot in Automation Anywhere. Even a non-IT or business user can just look at the bot language and understand what the bot is doing, and that's the easy part.""There have been a lot of challenges in terms of interfacing with the customer ERPs. So, we have been building tools and interfaces using bots to write back into these custom ERPs. Specifically, in the area where I work, this has been very helpful.""We have hundreds of cases a day. There were around two to three employees who were just moving a case from one state to another. This was a repetitive, tedious job, which was frustrating for the employees. It helps to have the bot doing this work now. We have immediately seen effects, so this is a good use for it.""The flexibility which has been built into it is its most valuable feature.""Workbench, which is a development tool, is very friendly. It is complete. Compared to Power Automate, Automation Anywhere is much more comprehensive and easy to understand."

"The product guides and resources are extensive and very helpful.""BrowserStack has lots of devices to choose from.""We like the model device factory for iOS and Android devices.""The most valuable feature of BrowserStack is the ability to do manual testing.""It is a scalable solution.""BrowserStack's best feature is browser testing across different platforms, including mobile.""The most valuable feature is the variety the solution offers around the different types of devices, especially mobile devices.""The setup was quite simple. The website easily explains how to set it up and if you want to integrate it with BMP tools there are online simple step tutorials."

Cons
"The object cloning that exists cannot capture 80 percent of the objects that we need it to capture.""I suggest having more ways to perform string manipulations and string operations, instead of just what is pre-defined in the V11 tool.""I would like to have a command that allows me to add code, like C#. As a developer, this would be helpful.""The API integration should be improved further since it is a bit difficult at the moment to connect with the API in the enterprise version.""The biggest issue was that the new license required upgraded hardware infrastructure so we were getting all new tech stuff procured which meant that we were getting updated RAMs and things like that. Getting the licenses was easier but building the infrastructure which was required to support the new version was difficult.""I would like to see integration better integration with Excel and SAP.""The OCR can be a little better because sometimes while scrapping, it leads to data loss.""The data migration could be better."

More Automation Anywhere (AA) Cons →

"It is difficult to use for someone who has little to no experience.""I would like for there to be more integration with BrowserStack and other platforms.""I haven't seen AI in BrowserStack, making it in an area where improvements are required in the product.""We are having difficulty with the payment system for the BrowserStack team, as they only accept credit cards and we are encountering some issues.""While I was testing I was not 100% sure a that was properly mimicking the browsers or not. We had some issues with a browser, and the reason was the browser itself does not provide any support. If the local system does not provide any support, I think this was the problem. There should be better integration with other solutions, such as JIRA.""We are struggling to do local testing.""There is room for improvement in pricing.""Adding better integration with frameworks, particularly testing frameworks like Robot, would be of more value to customers and make their jobs easier."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing is too high for small-scale groups. The Control Room yearly fee is high, making it difficult to break even."
  • "Automation Anywhere is competitive... Pega is somewhat comparable, but Pega also requires a lot more infrastructure and a lot more experience to get up and running."
  • "Automation Anywhere is costlier than the general competition. That is aligned with the share of the market it has."
  • "They're very flexible around pricing and licensing."
  • "They give us a good deal on the licensing because we bundle and customize things. If you ask to get a bulk business deal, you will receive more benefit. If you take other products from the suite, like IQ Bot, you can also receive a deal on the licensing."
  • "We just did a round of price comparison on a global scale and found it's so hard to compare the license prices. But, Automation Anywhere, in general, is on the same price level as the other vendors, a bit lower in some cases."
  • "If you look at the capital expenditure, Automation Anywhere is number two to UiPath. But if you take a long-term view, on a scalable model of a large number of bots coming out, it slowly goes on to become the costliest tool. There is something they can do about that. The capital expenditure goes out right at the point of buying the tool. For Automation Anywhere, I would need to spend $20,000. UiPath can give me something for $6,000, while Blue Prism will come in at $300,000."
  • "It's cheaper than other similar solutions."
  • More Automation Anywhere (AA) Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "This solution costs less than competing products."
  • "The price is fine."
  • "There are different licenses available that can be customized. You can select the features that you want only to use which can be a cost-benefit."
  • "BrowserStack could have a better price, but good things have a price."
  • "The price of BrowserStack is high."
  • "Compared to other solutions, BrowserStack is one of the cheapest."
  • "My company found the product's license to be very compatible with our budget, and we pay 5,000 to 10,000 per year for licenses."
  • "As for pricing, I can't provide a clear evaluation as I'm not directly involved in those discussions."
