Easy and straightforward to use, responsive support, but search capabilities could be more powerful
The search feature is useful, but it is also somewhat limited. In other ATS systems that I have used, you can really define your search well. You can enter multiple, different criteria for things that you are looking for. You can also enter how many years you need and enter a specific location. The Apploi solution doesn't offer those options. Any good ATS systems should really, really improve their search features, your ability to see what candidates match certain criteria. I think that that is really a key to any good applicant tracking system because that's what we're here for. We're trying to find our candidates and we're trying to get good candidates for the right jobs. The search feature could improve and they need a more robust candidate page. Sometimes candidate pages can have a lot of different information on there, and you have to dig through the notes for some of the information on Apploi. Making it a little bit more user-friendly and having more accessible information would be an improvement because when we're going through it, we just want to find all the information we need as quickly as possible.

Helps improve turnaround times and flags suspicious activity
The Xref feature I find the most valuable is probably the fact that it does the security check to make sure that the references are not dodgy. It's got security settings in the backend that flag suspicious activity straight away. Most referencing systems are just automated emails that go to somebody that's nominated by the potential employee. Anybody could be the owner of those email addresses; it could be their mom or brother. There are no security checks in place with other systems.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Overall, I liked it; I thought it was simple, and it's probably one of the simpler ones that I've worked with, which is not always a bad thing."
"It has a good search feature for looking for resumes."
"It is often quicker than playing phone tag, which happens a lot when you're doing reference check. Anyone that has done them before knows that they can turn into weeks of playing phone tag."
"In the terms of reference checks, it shortens that whole process, which in turn gets you to offer the best candidate before they get offered somewhere else."

Cons

"Making it a little bit more user-friendly and having more accessible information would be an improvement because when we're going through it, we just want to find all the information we need as quickly as possible."
"The search feature is useful, but it is also somewhat limited."
"It would be great to have a defense industry security check option. To be compliant, we have to have a different tool for that."
