We performed a comparison between ABBYY Vantage and Tungsten RPA based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The machine learning capability is pretty good."
"Identifies and extract relevant elements from a document."
"We have found the solution to be stable so far."
"The solution's technical support is very supportive."
"Vantage is flexible and customizable. It's a low-code/no-code tool, so you don't need to get into detailed coding. You can also use AI to accomplish medium-complex tasks."
"While using ABBYY FlexiCapture we did not use the generic models that they do have for invoice and purchase orders. For one of the use-cases, the document was exactly the purchase order, but we are not using that generic model. We are creating the model from Scratch. However, if I was to compare ABBYY FlexiCapture with other IA tools, the machine learning and how the extraction is done is far better than competitors. This allows a lot less effort for the development."
"The UI is user-friendly and ABBYY Vantage supports over 100 languages."
"The OCR is the best on the market."
"The most valuable feature of Kofax RPA is the simplicity of automating tasks."
"The drag and drop functionality is quite good."
"The product provides end-to-end solutions for different business problems."
"It is very simple and easy to learn compared to any other RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism."
"The ability to script information from websites is most valuable. It also seems to be fairly robust and reasonably easy to manage on a server-based deployment. We have a number of robots operating on the central server."
"The OCR was quite stable and flexible."
"The solution is scalable."
"The most valuable features are workflow and process automation."
"I would like to see a machine learning model to make the solution more intelligent."
"One major area that requires improvement in ABBYY Vantage is its current JSON output format."
"Not a ten because sometimes some documents have handwritten data. If this improved, I would rate it a ten out of ten."
"There are certain controls like radio buttons and checkboxes that when reading PDFs, really doesn't go well with the RPA."
"They say that they have invoice training or document training where if you put in a certain number of documents of the same type and you fix it once, twice, or a few times, it'll automatically be able to read the same document perfectly without you having to create a layout for it to follow. That has never worked properly for any project, so I just stopped recommending it completely. We spent time trying to test and getting a bunch of invoices to test it with, and in the end, it just didn't do what it needed to. If they fix that or if they can improve on that, that would be great. It will save a lot of time for a lot of people, and it will allow people with less experience with ABBYY to be able to use it."
"ABBYY's support model could be improved because we get some complaints from customers regarding the amount of time it takes and the kind of responses we get. They also need to improve their professional services team and train them to support customers better during custom implementations."
"It would be good if the product provided an AI-based prebuilt model that predicts and gives output."
"The generic models have a lot of areas to improve. In our experience, we are not able to get good results in the generic models. From a developer's point of view, there could be more improvement if the source code is available on a broader scope"
"The product needs more AI capabilities."
"It needs a free training portal for anybody on the internet to use so that they can get an idea of what the possibilities are."
"Exception handling needs to be improved."
"RPA technology is constantly changing, and sometimes Kofax lags behind."
"The product has some constraints and performance issues."
"The product should improve desktop automation, which is hard to configure. It needs to have custom connectors. It is the only advantage that Microsoft Power Platform has over Kofax RPA. It has more than 800 custom connectors."
"The process discovery could be a bit better."
"Automation with the latest websites is not effective. The support of newer websites developed using new technologies would improve this solution."
