I use the solution in my company as an ATS platform. Our company uses it to manage the complete lifecycle of a candidate.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that amongst all the other ATS platforms that I have used, SmartRecruiters is the most user-friendly tool. The tool is simple to use, and I have not seen a lot of lag in the system. Usually, I don't see a lot of glitches in SmartRecruiters, like the ones I experienced with Workday, which is very complicated, and I see the system hang often.

What needs improvement?

With SmartRecruiters, compatibility with other HRIS systems is an area with certain shortcomings that require improvement. SmartRecruiters is a tool that we use as an ATS platform in our company, but we manage the employee lifecycle with the help of SAP, and I don't see the integration of SmartRecruiters with SAP happening quite seamlessly, making it an area where improvements are required.

The product is scalable for single entity business. We experience issues while conglomerating it with multiple businesses or geographies.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Comparing PeopleStrong to leading products like Oracle and SuccessFactors offers cost advantages.

However, compared to smaller products, it is a holistic solution from a pricing point of view. They are working on the user interface, AI-based features, etc. They should overcome the challenges of the implementation process, which is currently under-delivered.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup has moderate complexity. It involves standardizing the process across the board, integrating it with the existing HRM system, and aligning the agreement and timelines within the team. We followed a structured software development process involving phases like requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment. It took us about nine months to complete and required a team of eight to ten executives to work on the implementation. It isn't easy to maintain.

The product generates a return on investment within a year.

The product has reasonable pricing.

What other advice do I have?

Others wanting to buy PeopleStrong should understand and validate the critical functional requirements of their businesses before signing up for the product. They need to assess its integration capacity. I recommend others to look at it from a holistic perspective where you can use all the modules integrated into one suite. If you must manage international operations, ensure no issues while connecting with different geographies.

I rate the product a seven out of ten.
