What is our primary use case?

We implement the solution for enterprise performance management across EPM disciplines and across industries. The use cases include automation of strategic planning, forecasting, operational planning, sensitivity analysis, business road maps, profitability, and cost management analysis, accounts reconciliations, financial master data centralisation and management, and reporting to management, statutory and regulatory authorities.

How was the initial setup?

The solution's initial setup/configuration is straightforward. As far as cloud setup is concerned, no installation is involved. In that case, the solution is maintained and hosted by Oracle.

The time frame for deployment depends on the use cases. It is rapidly deployable for out-of-the-box features and customizable for any further changes/enhancements needed. It takes anywhere between six to ten weeks to deploy for standard requirements.

What was our ROI?

As per my experience, customers who implemented the solution correctly and optimally, gain anywhere between 30% to 50% of the ROI in two or three years. Many intangible factors contribute to the saving as well like optimization of resources, better compliance, efficient work-life balance due to automations, and reduced risk.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution's licensing covers everything, including a basic number of users, monthly new feature releases and upgrades to the system, complete support hosting infrastructure, system maintenance, and high system availability.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We have reviewed other solutions such as AARO, and Blackline. These products are good in their own space, but Oracle provides most extensive portfolio of EPM services.

What other advice do I have?

Oracle is a very well-developed EPM platform in the market right now. All the modules in its suite integrate well with each other. It is designed based on customers' requirements considering usability. Thus, correctly implementing it can complement the Finance transformation in a big way.

I recommend the solution to others and rate it as a nine.

What is our primary use case?

We are a small Latvian company that sells goods to Germany and France. 

Due to changes in laws, we have encountered difficulties in complying with extended producer obligations. Therefore, we are obligated to register in Germany and France and get registered numbers. We also need to submit reports and pay ecologic fees to local operators. 

The big problem is that these guys don't speak English. The truth is that they don't like to answer questions. Eventually, we bought a Lovat subscription for EPR registration and submitted the needed reports.

How has it helped my organization?

To be honest, there are too many requirements for a small business in France and Germany. I have no idea how we can know and do all that is required. Legislation is just beginning to apply and no one seems to know anything. Therefore, Lovat turned out to be the best solution to this problem. We just bought a subscription and Lovat consultants answered all our questions. We have EPR numbers now. We can do business with Amazon as well. Everything is ok.

What is most valuable?

The report integration feature saves a lot of time. I definitely like it.

As per other features, the integration with Amazon took place in a really fast timeframe; we were provided with a guide, and everything was simple and straightforward. 

It did not take much time to connect the platform and our seller account for further reporting. I also would say that this function is nicely tuned. Everything is well-designed and perfectly understandable.

Payment for a subscription to the service was not as convenient as everything mentioned before, as it happened through payment by invoice, which means it is not automated at the moment of purchase. We've been contacted directly by the manager, however.

What needs improvement?

It would be more convenient if the payment for the service also took place through the platform. At the time of the purchase, the manager contacted us, the necessary documents were checked, and an invoice was issued for payment. 

I would like a dashboard for communications with operators since the legislation of other countries looks very complicated. Plus, they are often in different languages. Operators (the companies that collect license fees) are very bad at advising and bad at responding - all of which makes compliance so problematic. So far, we have used the way of communication via the Lovat tax team, and it's also nice, to be honest.

I've used the solution for six months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In our changing world, I rate Lovat's support as stable. I get enough support from them.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I see how extensive and ever-increasing EPR legislation is in the countries of the European Union. My only hope is that Lovat can help me figure this all out.

How are customer service and support?

At first, I talked with people from Lovat almost every week. I received full advice from them on every issue. Now, we communicate from time to time. Overall, I'm happy with their support.

Lovat definitely saves time. That is very important for me.

I can recommend Lovat's solution to other users. It is about 60 euros for a subscription, which is a pretty good price since they save you a lot of headaches.

We have worked with the Lovat team on other issues before. We did not evaluate other options.

What other advice do I have?

I hope that other countries will be added to the services of Lovat. We plan to sell our products to Austria and the UK in 2023, and good support would help.
