Pros and Cons
  • "The support is amazing! They solve the issues on the fly."
  • "It would be great if there were a section on the provider's website that shows a set of services for a particular business. It would be helpful to have some kind of checklist of services that are suitable for your blog, which are required, and which can be set up later."

What is our primary use case?

When I started to blog on social media and had a few followers, everything suited me. Then I started promoting my services, and social media functionality was no longer useful.

I decided to build a website to process the orders. It also annoys me that the quality of photos and videos is constantly being cut. I use such expensive photography equipment, yet the quality is awful anyway. I have a standard blogging set: a lot of photos and videos, and I plan to stream, also. Therefore, page loading speed and points of presence in several countries were important to me.

How has it helped my organization?

It's very good that G-Core has a trial with the ability to test all the functions. They have a bunch of tier plans, and when starting, it may not be clear which features you need and which you don’t.

Also, I wanted to test if their hosting is really as fast as they say and if there are any glitches.

While there was little traffic on my site, I used a free CDN plan for several months and bought hosting.

Everything works great from the first day of use. Now, I have already switched over to another tier, as the traffic has increased

What is most valuable?

G-Core is the second provider I use. There were problems with streaming, although the number of people at that time was small. The video constantly dragged, and there were problems with buffering. That’s the biggest improvement for me, as far as all my work is related. I'm now showing a high-quality and good-looking picture. After I started using G-Core, this problem with low-quality images disappeared.

I also monitor the statistics of devices from which my content is viewed the most, and it’s good that there is a traffic-splitting function.

The support is amazing! They solve the issues on the fly. In the beginning, I had some problems and used their support a lot.

What needs improvement?

When I was setting up a website, I did not have a specialist who would help me to understand what settings I needed or didn't need at all. I’ve read a lot of information to understand what exactly is appropriate for my blog. It would be great if there were a section on the provider's website that shows a set of services for a particular business. It would be helpful to have some kind of checklist of services that are suitable for your blog, which are required, and which can be set up later. While it's great that there are trial periods and user-friendly interfaces, still, you can go crazy.

Provides good security features, clear documentation, and integrates easily with other tools
Pros and Cons
  • "The solution has good security features."
  • "Sometimes, the server goes down automatically."

What is our primary use case?

We use the product to deliver our content. We can use it in end-to-end projects.

What is most valuable?

The solution has good security features. It has all the features we need. The solution provides more security to our applications. We can integrate the tool easily with other solutions if we follow the documentation properly.

What needs improvement?

Sometimes, the server goes down automatically. We do not know the reason yet.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the solution for the past two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The product is stable. It gives access to all customers.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I rate the product’s scalability an eight out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

Whenever we contact the support team, the team solves the issue within a day. They respond on time. They put a lot of effort into solving our problems.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

If we do not know anything about AWS, the setup is difficult. If we try to learn the tool, everything will be easier than on other cloud platforms like Azure, IBM, and GCP. AWS is easy to learn. The documentation is very clear. It provides step-by-step information for everything.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Kibana is a tool that is used for open-source data visualization. It is difficult to find information on Azure and GCP’s documentation. Everything is interlinked on AWS on the same page. AWS is one of the best platforms.

What other advice do I have?

We monitor our environment using AWS. I like the EC2 instance. We also use Amazon GuardDuty. I do not have access to the production environment. GuardDuty and AWS Security Hub provide CSPM services to streamline security with automated and continuous security best practices. It provides NACLs and load-balancing features. I will recommend the product to others because it provides high security and high availability worldwide. Overall, I rate the tool an eight out of ten.
