Intelligent and accurate out-of-the-box Enterprise Architecture Artifacts
Pros and Cons
  • "The solution has a very useful assessment tool that automatically populates from input data to produce a detailed analysis of customer's environments."
  • "The solution needs to incorporate a data patch tool that moves within and irons data."

What is our primary use case?

Our company is a partner with the solution and we use it to provide our clients with enterprise architecture management.

How has it helped my organization?

Partnering with LeanIX has given an edge to our Enterprise Architecture Consultants.

What is most valuable?

The out-of-the-box Enterprise Architecture artifacts are accurate and intelligent.

The solution has a very useful assessment tool that automatically populates from input data to produce a detailed analysis of customer's environments.

Sandbox access is provided across all architects.

What needs improvement?

The solution needs to incorporate an AI/ML data intelligence tool that gets smarter with industry wise enterprise engagements and provides suggestive data input when optimum data sources not available for a new engagement.

The solution has good security but should be wary of publishing services over internet for open consumption, because that will increase the attack surface.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the solution for nine months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable.

How are customer service and support?

Technical support is very good with no issues because they have an engagement model across sales, marketing, and support.

How was the initial setup?

The setup was handled by the solution's technicians so I cannot speak to its complexity.

What about the implementation team?

The implementation was also handled by the solution's technicians and everything runs fine.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution's pricing is based on a licensing model that is competitive and in line with other products.

I rate pricing a ten out of ten because there is good value.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Most enterprise architecture solutions include standard features with little difference between products.

All of the leading EA Tools depends on CMDB and ServiceNow for source data.

We recommend the solution to customers because we are partners and prefer to use it.

But it all depends on the assessment scope and what is the best fit. Some customers are not ready to move to a new enterprise solution or want to stick with what they already have in place.

What other advice do I have?

I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Provides holistic architectural views and helps discover network assets
Pros and Cons
  • "The platform is stable."
  • "It has a data domain where we load our data objects onto the tool but doesn't provide data governance capabilities such as cleansing or validating data."

What is our primary use case?

Our primary use case for this solution is as an enterprise architecture tool. From a management perspective, we have specific use cases for modeling business processes.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the ability to view the entire architecture of an enterprise, company, or organization within the tool. We can load the architecture onto the tool and gain a holistic view.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using MEGA HOPEX for 4 months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The platform is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have less than ten MEGA HOPEX users in our organization.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used other solutions before. We switched to MEGA HOPEX because it helps discover assets on the network, such as software applications or servers running those applications.

How was the initial setup?

We didn't face any challenges during the setup process. We also procured configuration services, and the team assisting us has been actively helping us throughout the process.

What about the implementation team?

A third-party consultancy handled the deployment as part of their cloud offering.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing depends on the number of licenses purchased. Typically, the more licenses you buy, the lower the cost per license. However, exact pricing details may vary depending on customers' specific requirements.

What other advice do I have?

MEGA has supported our IT portfolio management 100%. They have a portfolio management module where we load our application assets onto the tool.

It has a data domain where we load our data objects onto the tool but doesn't provide data governance capabilities such as cleansing or validating data. We ensure that the information we input is clean and accurate.

With these compliance management features, we've primarily focused on business architecture. We have yet to explore the GRC capabilities fully, as we only started in January. We'll begin exploring other capabilities once we document the business and application domains. Risk management is also an ongoing process, and we plan to utilize more robust features in the future.

To utilize MEGA effectively, you need to understand your architecture and be able to complete the templates. There are two ways to upload information: via templates or manual upload. You must know your way around the templates and understand what artifacts to upload onto the tool. Once you're comfortable with that, the process becomes easier.

I rate it a nine out of ten.
