Straightforward to set up and good support but needs to be on the cloud
Pros and Cons
  • "Technical support is helpful and responsive."
  • "It should be more scalable."

What is our primary use case?

I've used the solution for patch management and some fixing after other scanning and testing. We try to do the fixing from a single console under a single patch to improve efficiency.

What is most valuable?

It can provide good snapshots.

With other products, I have to write my own scripts. With this solution, I do not have to.

The setup is straightforward.

It is stable and reliable.

Technical support is helpful and responsive.

It's very useful for data centers.

What needs improvement?

We'd like the solution to be moved to the cloud.

We'd like to have better logging so people can see what I have done on the console.

It should be more scalable.

For how long have I used the solution?

We've used the solution in the past and are now in the process of making a comparison before we agree to review the license. We've used it for a few years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable and reliable. I'd rate the stability eight out of ten. There are no bugs or glitches.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I'd rate the scalability six out of ten. To scale require additional costs. It could be easier to scale.

We host the service. It's hard to calculate the number of users.

How are customer service and support?

We've used technical support. They have been good overall. The response time was fast.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We have used other solutions in the past, including BigFix and Automox. Ivanti offers pretty good pricing in comparison and fits our requirements.

How was the initial setup?

It is easy to implement the solution. It only takes 30 minutes. You simply follow the guide. It's easy. What needs to be done depends on the requirements.

We had five to six people handling the initial setup. They were engineers.

What about the implementation team?

We handled the implementation ourselves.

What was our ROI?

I have yet to witness any ROI.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I'm not sure of the exact licensing costs.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We are currently comparing this with other solutions in order to see if it is still the best option for us.

What other advice do I have?

I am not sure which version of the solution we were using.

I'd rate the solution seven out of ten. We were mostly happy with its capabilities.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises

Useful for easy patch management and software deployment
Pros and Cons
  • "The tool's most valuable features are easy patch management and software deployment."
  • "The tool's deployment can be cumbersome."

What is most valuable?

The tool's most valuable features are easy patch management and software deployment. We use it because it is a Microsoft product, which makes it more secure and easier to use.

Microsoft Configuration Manager makes it easier to control remote desktops. It supplements other products.

What needs improvement?

The tool's deployment can be cumbersome.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Microsoft Configuration Manager's stability is very good. I rate it an eight out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

We don't contact Microsoft directly for support. We get support through a third-party vendor.

How was the initial setup?

I rate the product's ease of deployment a four out of ten.

What about the implementation team?

A contractor helped us with the product's deployment.

What other advice do I have?

I rate the overall solution an eight out of ten.
