Provides high availability of clustering and valuable file transfer management features
Pros and Cons
  • "The product's most valuable feature is the high availability clustering."
  • "The product's pricing needs improvement."

What is our primary use case?

We use the product for file transfer management. It supports secure file transfer protocols, including SFTP and HTTPS.

How has it helped my organization?

The platform provides efficient safety for file transfer by encrypting the client's platform and the server.

What is most valuable?

The product's most valuable feature is the high availability clustering. Whenever one server has a downtime while patching or maintenance, the DR server automatically takes over. It helps with the synchronization of services.

What needs improvement?

The product's pricing needs improvement.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The product is highly stable. I rate the stability a ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have 60 JSCAPE users in our organization. We use it daily. I rate the scalability an eight out of ten.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used FileZilla's free edition before. We decided to shift to JSCAPE by Redwood for better security features.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup process is easy with the support of a 24-hour backend expert and available demos for installation and configuration. We can also refer to the documentation. It takes two days to complete.

The deployment process involves server installation, configuring necessary reports, and publishing the system on the public internet. Initially, we created internal users with LtAP access. It enables control over file upload and download permissions for specific file types. The implementation, accessible through SFTP and HTTPS protocols, works well for secure file transfers. It requires three executives to deploy and one or two to maintain the product.

What about the implementation team?

We implemented the product in-house with vendor support.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The software is expensive compared to other vendors. I rate the pricing a seven out of ten.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We evaluated many products. Later, we decided to go with JSCAPE by Redwood based on a user's review who had experience working with it.

What other advice do I have?

The platform enables efficient file transfer management, including link file organization, link sharing, transfer between two applications, etc. We can integrate servers and automate the migration process as well.

I rate JSCAPE by Redwood a ten out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Fast file transfers, good security, and helpful automation
Pros and Cons
  • "Automating and managing the file transfer using JSCAPE has decreased the manual interventions necessary and increased the organization's efficiency and productivity."
  • "Providing initial guidance would help new users to understand the UI."

What is our primary use case?

The file transfer is simplified and seamless when implementing JSCAPE. It was bought for its precision and reliability. Transferring the bulk of files to different directories and the acceleration of files is perfect. This powerful tool is well known for its security in terms of transferring files and data. A user can successfully encrypt and authenticate to access the data. JSCAPE helps to automate file transfers on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis and supports easy and flexible deployment.

How has it helped my organization?

JSCAPE handles all our file transfers effortlessly by automating the process. It has proven to be the fastest and most reliable file transfer software.

Large files are also transferred without any complication. One of the outstanding features is its security, which many other tools are lagging back in the industry. As this is a centralized file transfer tool, we can automate the complex workflow processes easily.

Independent of any platforms, JSCAPE runs any operating system across the organization.

What is most valuable?

It helped to improve the expansion of the business, as it supports the different methods of File transfer protocols like FTPS, AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS.

Automating and managing the file transfer using JSCAPE has decreased the manual interventions necessary and increased the organization's efficiency and productivity.

Report generation and data analysis are done smoothly to track the status of the file transfer. JSCAPE offers services for multiple business domains and accounts, for sharing files over the network.

What needs improvement?

Installation and configuration of JSCAPE is a bit complicated, providing the proper document helps to understand the tool and gain more knowledge on its features.

The pricing of the JSCAPE MFT server seems higher considering some smaller businesses with a limited amount of budgets.

To make it easier, the admin log and reporting system should be improved. I would appreciate it if the help and support team could more actively assist the users to resolve their Issues.

Providing initial guidance would help new users to understand the UI.
